There is a piece of advice, usually attributed to Kent Beck, that almost every developer has heard at some point:
Make it work, make it right, make it fast.
Most people read it as a warning about premature optimization. But I always feel it describes the life of any idea that other people are supposed to use. And it happens to describe the MCP series I have been writing for more than a year.
